My name is Amy Burnside. I am the owner of Be Balanced Counseling. I provide individual therapy to adult clients, ages 18+, as well as provide clinical supervision to other therapists completing their residency training. I also facilitate DBT skills groups. Elizabeth Shrader is our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Beth supports teens and adults seeking medication management services. Beth sees clients virtually and at her Gilbert office. To read more about Beth click on the About Us page.
Jennifer Watson provides individual therapy to adults, ages 18+.
Jojo Huckeba provides individual therapy to teens and adults, ages 14+ and facilitates DBT skills group therapy.
We are trained in a variety of evidenced based therapy modalities including EMDR Therapy, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, TRE, DBT, CBT, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness based therapy. Please reference the other pages on our website for more details on these powerful healing therapies.
We believe that through increased awareness and acceptance of who you are we can identify behavioral or emotional patterns that are keeping you stuck. We each have down to earth and compassionate styles and will help you identify your innate strengths.

Amy and Jojo also teach DBT Skills groups. These groups are run more like an educational class teaching "Life Skills" that assist in managing emotions, improving communication, and general coping skills (Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance Skills).
